EXTENSIONS Q & A

K-TIPS

What are k-tips?

They are known as keratin extensions, as that is what the extensions are tipped with. This keratin tip is melted to attach the extension to your natural hair. They are the most invisible, natural-looking extension on the market.

What is the maintenance?

You will wear these extensions for up to 3-5 months. Since they are not reusable, you must buy new hair for a new installation.

What is the cost?

Since the cost varies from head to head, I highly recommend that you book your free hair extension consultation to go over pricing and what the cost looks like for future hair extension appointments.

I-TIPS

What are I-tips?

Also known as micro-link extensions, are a type of hair extension that uses a non-heat method for attachment. Each extension strand has a small, shoestring-like tip that holds all the individual hair strands together. A small bead is used to clamp the extension to the natural hair. Like the K-tip, it allows for 360 movement. It is the second most natural-looking extension on the market.

What is the maintenance?

You will rotate between an adjustment (moving the beads up) and a refusion (removing + reinstalling), every 4-7 weeks.

WEFTS

What are wefts?

This method is often used for people with medium to thicker hair density because of the support it gives to the wefts. It involves attaching a small bead to the natural hair and sewing the weft to the hair that is holding the bead. This extension is the most popular method of adding length and volume to the hair.
